Arrival at JRO / Transfer to Arusha
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your Go Expeditions Africa Safari Guide will meet you for a transfer to Arusha. Relax and enjoy the scenic drive through the Tanzanian landscape. Our knowledgeable driver will be happy to answer any questions you have and share insights about our country.
In about an hour, you will arrive at the lodge in Arusha, where you can unwind and prepare for the exciting adventures that await you. Welcome to Tanzania!
Tarangire National Park
After a delicious breakfast, set off for a transfer to Tarangire National Park for an exhilarating game drive. Your guide will lead you to prime game viewing spots within the park, renowned for its ancient baobab trees. The game drive will focus around the Tarangire River, the main water source in the park, which attracts a variety of animals including giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and lions.
In the afternoon, your driver-guide will take you to a perfect spot for a hot picnic lunch. After lunch, continue exploring the park, scanning for various animals and birds, with over 500 species having been spotted in the area. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, you will be transferred to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Game en route to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, embark on a long but scenic drive to Serengeti National Park, renowned for its famous wildebeest migration and abundant wildlife. En route to the camp, enjoy game viewing in Tanzania’s oldest park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The journey offers excellent opportunities for spectacular wildlife sightings. You’ll have a hot picnic lunch in the Serengeti wilderness, surrounded by the breathtaking views of these award-winning endless plains.
Game Drive in Central Serengeti
In the morning, enjoy breakfast before setting out on a full-day game drive in Central Serengeti National Park, known for its big cats. You will quickly realize that the Serengeti is so vast and captivating that one visit is never enough, which is why many of our guests return time and time again.
Your experienced guide will lead you on a quest to spot Central Serengeti’s residents, including cheetahs, lions, leopards, hyenas, bat-eared foxes, reedbucks, giraffes, elephants, hippos, rhinos, warthogs, and many more. After game drive you will drive back to the camp for dinner and overnight
Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Equipped with packed lunch you will drive to one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, Ngorongoro Crater. Here, you will have the opportunity to search for the Big Five animals. Over a million years ago, Ngorongoro Crater, now the world’s largest inactive caldera, was once among Africa’s tallest mountains until volcanic forces caused it to dramatically collapse.
After lunch, you will embark on afternoon game drive an opportunity to search for buffaloes, zebras, elands, gazelles, elephants, lions, and scavengers like spotted hyenas and jackals. The crater also offers a glorious opportunity to see the endangered and rare black rhinos. After the game drive, you will ascend from the crater and drive to the lodge in Karatu for dinner and and overnight stay.
