What is the local currency?

The monetary unit of Tanzania is the Tanzanian shilling (TZS). It is difficult to change currency in Tanzania and there are few ATMs, so if possible, get cash as soon as you arrive at the airport.

How does electricity work in Tanzania?

The voltage and frequency of electric current in Tanzania are the same as in France, that is to say 220 and 230 volts, 50 Hz.
