But today, the park is going to be unveiled before your eyes, up close!

You will arrive at your luxury tented camp in the afternoon on time for lunch and continue to the afternoon game drive along the Mara River. A search for wildebeests crossing, the crocodiles infested Mara River will start today and go full swing tomorrow. If you’re not lucky to spot this natural wonder of the world today, all good, there is more than meets the eye in Northern Serengeti since it has a good number of cheetahs, hyenas, lions, leopards, giraffes, Topi elands, hippo and a lot more.

Following the Migration in the Northern Area

On the 5th day of this iconic Great Migration safari, start a day with a short drive to the Mara River. A journey offers a truly unique landscape of acacia woodlands, open savanna, and a lot of wildlife on the way.

With stops for game viewing and some great shots along the way, there are chances to witness the herds of wildebeests and their close cousins’ zebras even before arriving at the Mara River banks for a much sought-after event of the river crossing.

As you reach the Mara River, the herds are likely to be congregating on the river banks finding the courage to reach the opposite bank of the river. To reach there, they need to battle the mammoth Nile crocodiles who have been waiting for this much-anticipated event the whole year. This is crocodiles’ festival season, so to speak. Everyone to their own capacity makes sure that they get lion’s share as thousands of wildebeests end in crocodiles’ mouths. If the nature of the game permits, you will be able to witness this mouthwatering event as the herds cross the river to the far Northern Serengeti and reach neighboring Masai Mara Nature Reserve in Kenya for much-needed greener pasture After an eventful day, drive back en route to the Camp for dinner and overnight.
